This week I need a little encouragement, and maybe you do too. I thought I would share this photo I took in my yard this summer of a butterfly with a huge bite out of its wing. Despite this large missing piece, the butterfly was flying strongly all around. I found this beautiful and so uplifting. We may be missing pieces, but we can still fly. Below I am sharing some of my favorite quotes that encourage me and make me feel seen. I would love to hear encouragements/ quotes that help you.
“But you have to live the life you have. You have to find inspiration in the struggle, and pull joy out of the hardship.”
Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
“Maybe healing was more like this- not an uninterrupted line on a graph but a period of chaos and beauty that never followed a predictable pattern. I didn’t need to measure myself against anything or anyone. This was my unique journey.”
Unlikely Match by Laura Bradbury
“If I hadn’t made the journey through the hard times before, I probably wouldn’t have been able to gather the strength to face this one.”
When Life Gives you Pears by Jeannie Gaffigan
“You’ve earned your black belt in surviving; the hard part is remembering how to live.”
Unlikely Match by Laura Bradbury
“You get one life, and it only goes forward.”
Wesley Branch
“Without my suffering, it would have been impossible to achieve this higher level of joy. Things I took for granted my entire life have new and profound meaning. Someday, I may just swallow and not feel how good it is. I hope not. My prayer every day is to not forget how good it is to swallow water.”
When Life Gives You Pears by Jeannie Gaffigan
“There are all kinds of happy endings.”
Eve Lapin
